To mark Earth Day, WANIN International held its annual Sustainability Week from April 20 to 24 across its Taichung headquarters, Dali Software Park Technology Center, and Taipei branch. This year’s initiative focused on making sustainability more accessible by weaving it into everyday choices related to a healthy diet, physical well-being, and resource circulation.
The program featured four key activities:
Sustainability Sharing Session:
The session introduced practices already integrated into WANIN’s daily operations, including food waste processing, coffee grounds recycling, and energy-saving measures.
Low-Carbon Dining:
WANIN provided low-carbon afternoon refreshments and launched a low-carbon meal challenge through its internal communication channels. Employees participated by sharing recipes, meal ideas, and practical approaches to sustainable eating.
Workplace Stretching Sessions:
Midday stretching and core training sessions encouraged employees to remain active during the workday, highlighting the importance of personal health in creating a thriving workplace.
Resource Circulation:
Second-hand markets were held across WANIN’s offices, while refurbished IT equipment was made available for employees to purchase. These activities extended the lifecycle of electronics and consumer goods while supporting the circular use of resources.
By turning sustainability concepts into practical workplace activities, WANIN Sustainability Week encouraged employees to adopt lower-carbon habits and more mindful consumption. The initiative also reflected WANIN’s efforts to embed sustainability into its corporate culture and daily operations.
