WANIN Foundation believes that education has the power to change lives, and reading has the power to open new doors. With this belief, we opened ShiBen ShuTang (Library) in 2021 to support students in need. The word "Shi" carries the meaning of picking up and reconnecting. It represents every hand we hold and every act of support we offer. Through ShiBen ShuTang (Library), we hope to reignite a love for reading, a passion for learning, and a positive outlook on life, helping people rediscover the joy that reading can bring. Known for its striking architectural design, ShiBen ShuTang (Library) has been recognized by the media as one of the most photogenic literary destinations in Taiwan, drawing comparisons to South Korea's famous Starfield Library. In September 2022, we established a dedicated sustainable development department to lead our sustainability efforts group-wide. To help sustainability take root across every department, representatives from each team come together in workshops to build consensus and shape our sustainability initiatives, working collectively toward a better future. We've also strengthened communication with our stakeholders, building stronger channels for ongoing dialog.

Green procurement reflects our commitment to minimizing environmental impact. Working closely with our supplier partners, we prioritize products with environmental certifications and ISO standards, striving for a more sustainable, low-carbon supply chain.

Following the international ISO 14064-1 standard, we conducted a greenhouse gas inventory for the full year of 2021, covering our Taichung headquarters and the Taichung Software Park Tech Center.

The assessment revealed total emissions of 2,333.457 tCO2e. These findings help us identify key emission hotspots, guiding the development of our carbon management policies as we take our first step toward environmental sustainability.

We're committed to nurturing a culture of sustainability, helping employees embrace sustainable practices in their everyday lives. Through internal sustainability workshops and discussion forums, we help employees take their first steps toward more sustainable living. Employees also take the initiative to get involved in environmental efforts through various activities, from office plant markets to beach, street, and mountain cleanups. By experiencing these efforts firsthand, employees carry sustainable habits into their daily lives, inspiring friends and family to join in and contribute to the community we call home.

With carbon reduction in mind, we've eliminated physical packaging and paper prepaid cards across our games, moving toward fully paperless top-ups. This opens a new chapter in greener consumption and puts sustainability into practice across Digital Entertainment.

To expand our impact even further, we invite players to join our tree planting initiatives, helping restore Taiwan's native forests and protect local biodiversity. Together, we're doing our part for the planet and bringing our sustainability vision to life.

We put consumers first, promoting healthy entertainment and building a safer digital gaming environment. We also actively engage in national information security initiatives, strengthening our safeguards to deliver a gaming experience that's safe, transparent, and trustworthy for every player.

Since 2023, we've partnered with academic and research institutions, including Academia Sinica, National Taiwan University, National Central University, and National Chengchi University, to launch our responsible gaming initiative. Together, we're exploring how responsible gaming practices can better protect player rights and improve transparency, while researching definitions and frameworks of accountability and how the gaming industry can advance ESG goals. Through ongoing dialog with experts across the field, we're working to support the healthy, sustainable growth of the gaming industry.

We believe in the power of collective action. By turning that belief into meaningful support for charitable causes, we bring warmth and hope to communities in need, wherever they may be.

We actively organize social impact initiatives that bring our employees together, from secondhand clothing and toy drives to Lunar New Year meal donations, overseas disaster relief fundraising, and volunteer care for underprivileged children and seniors. During the height of the pandemic, we drew on our influence in the gaming industry to turn a portion of our proceeds into meaningful support, channeling contributions through WANIN Foundation while also donating directly to public and private organizations. These efforts helped power a range of relief programs and emergency assistance initiatives when they were needed most.
